General FAQs
Both! We have 1000 spots available for our in-person Jack Ride on May 24th, 2025 in Caledon, ON. Unlimited spots are available for remote Riders all across Canada.
In addition, if you’re participating remotely, you can join us by walking, hiking, swimming, scootering, canoeing, or whatever you like!
Remote Rides can be completed from wherever you call home. This is a great option for riders and groups who are looking for a more flexible family-friendly experience. You will still receive the Jack Ride Exclusive Kit, fundraising perks, and support from HQ.
Our in-person events are on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at the Caledon East Community Complex in Caledon, ON. For remote Riders, we encourage Rides to take place on May 24th as well, but it’s okay if you prefer to ride earlier or later! No matter when you ride, please remember to raise the $350 fundraising minimum in support of Jack.org’s youth mental health programs.
The Caledon Ski Club is undergoing renovations in 2025, which means that in 2025, Jack Ride will be hosted at the Caledon East Community Complex - a short 20 minutes away from the Caledon Ski Club.
Note that the Caledon East Community Complex is still open to the public during Jack Ride. Please be mindful of pedestrians, and especially within the parking lot.
Parking will be limited so please carpool if possible.
That would be great! However, with any Rider, ensure your children are able to comfortably ride whatever route you choose.
Get out on your bike before your Ride Day and make sure your bike gets tuned up and is working properly. On your Ride Day, eat whatever you need to give you long-lasting fuel. Remain hydrated leading up to the Ride, bring full water bottles and take care to hydrate with electrolyte drinks in conditions of extreme heat.
We’re encouraging all Rides to be complete and all pledges to be in by May 24th but we will still accept donations afterward.
Yes! The minimum fundraising requirement is $350 per person and you will earn a custom 2025 Jack Ride kit, with cycling jersey, water bottle, and more!
Your fundraising dollars help give youth the tools to support each other, break stigmas, and create conversations about mental health, while the registration fee helps to cover campaign-related costs.
If you are unable to fundraise the minimum of $350, you have the option to pay or self-donate the difference. If you have any questions, reach out at ride@jack.org.
Please email ride@jack.org and we will get back to you ASAP.
Please email ride@jack.org with your full name and email address. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund your registration fee, but we can change it to a donation and send you a tax receipt.
Please email ride@jack.org and we’ll help you out.
Your registration fee, like the funds you raise, support innovative mental health resources like Be There, which equip youth advocates with the knowledge they need to educate and support their peers, and empower young leaders to improve mental health systems in their communities.
You are funding essential work. If you have any questions or comments, please send us a note at ride@jack.org.
This is based on availability. If there are unclaimed jerseys in your desired size available after the Ride, then we will make the switch. Send an email to ride@jack.org with the size you have and the size you want (view the sizing chart here).
Starting a company team to both ride and fundraise is a great team-building exercise. And it also happens to bolster a great cause. If you are interested in getting your company involved, please reach out to Sarah Christens at ride@jack.org to learn about sponsorship opportunities.

Strava is a free app that lets you track and record your cycling activity from anywhere with GPS, create routes, and connect with other Jack Ride participants. You’ll follow your friends, team, and other riders in our community, sharing photos of your activities right from your phone. You’ll be able to sync up to a GPS watch (Apple, Android, Garmin, Fitbit) or a computer.
Sign up for a free Strava account and join the official Jack.org Cycling Club. With your free membership, there is no cost to record and share activities and all basic features are free. Use of this app is completely optional.
Send us a note at ride@jack.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

We couldn’t do what we do to support youth mental health without the support of our incredible community of donors. Jack Ride is our largest event of the year and funds about 25% of Jack.org’s youth mental health programs.
Your donors' support enables us to adapt our in-person programs to digital formats, including a professionally shot and edited Jack Talk for broad mental health education, and Jack Chapter initiatives specifically designed to address the crisis.
We encourage you to let your donors know that their funds will still be directed to support the incredible work that we continue to do to build a future where young people have the education and resources they need to get the mental health support they deserve.
Absolutely. Take as much time as you need.
No, please ride the distance that works for you the day of, in the moment.

Youth mental health in Canada has been in decline for over a decade. More young people than ever before are living with depression, anxiety, and a sense of helplessness.
